berjaya university hospitality malaysia - Picture from http://www.berjaya.edu.my/Berjaya University College of Hospitality (Berjaya UCH), its establishment was to meet the shortage for professionals in the hospitality and tourism industry, with strong support from Ministry of Higher Education, it is currently offering programmes that range from foundation to postgraduate levels which inclusive of hospitality, tourism and services management studies. What makes Berjaya UCH appears to be unique from other institutions is that a so called “BERJAYA Immersion Methodology” is being applied into respective studies, with the fusion of this methodology, it tends to provide an extraordinary learning experience where students are accessed to what is beyond their learning syllabus.


BERJAYA’S IMMERSION METHDOLOGY in School of Hospitality Management (SHM)
With the guide from berjaya’s immersion methodology, students will be exposed and master in area of
– Housekeeping Management
– Front Office Management
– Food and Beverage Service
– Food Production
– Marketing and Sales
– Hospitality Management Studies

Foundation Programme

Foundation in Hospitality
Entry Requirements

– Pass SPM / O-Levels or equivalent with a minimum of 5 credits
Duration
– 1 year

Diploma Programmes

Diploma in Hospitality (SHM)
Entry Requirements
– Pass SPM / O-Levels or equivalent with a minimum of 3 credits
Duration
– 2 years + 5months (inclusive of workplacement)

Diploma in Culinary Arts
Entry Requirements
– Pass SPM / O-Levels or equivalent with a minimum of 3 credits
Duration
– 2 years + 5months (inclusive of workplacement)

Diploma in Tourism and Travel Management
Entry Requirements
– Pass SPM / O-Levels or equivalent with a minimum of 3 credits
Duration
– 2 years + 5months (inclusive of workplacement)

Degree Programmes

Bachelor of Hospitality Management (SHM)
Entry Requirements

– Pass STPM / A-Levels with a minimum of 2 credits
Duration
– 3 years + 6months (inclusive of workplacement)

Bachelor of Tourism Management
Entry Requirements

– Pass STPM / A-Levels with a minimum of 2 credits
Duration
– 3 years + 6months (inclusive of workplacement)

    Hi,
    I am a citizen of Mauritius and intend to open a Culinary Institute in Mauritius. I am inquiring whether University of Malaysia is interested to set up a branch in Culinary discipline here.  Mauritius has an expanding and proliferating tourism industry so this kind of institution will be highly beneficial for this part of the Indian ocean and Africa region as we do not have such in the vicinity.  I already have a building available for it which need some renovations. Please do let me know so that I can forward more information.
