Selangor State Government Education Loan (Pinjaman Pelajaran Kerajaan Negeri Selangor) is introduced with aim to provide financial aid to scholars who wish to pursue studies in institutions of higher learning.

For either public or private studies , as long as it is recognized by the government of Selangor state, scholars will be eligible to apply for it. Moreover, this education loan scheme also encourages those who wish to apply for entry to any polytechnics or community colleges to hand in an application form as well.

Terms and Conditions

Applicant Requirements/Qualifications:
  1. Must be a Malaysian
  2. Applicant who was born in Selangor state; or
    Applicant’s parents who were born in Selangor state; or
    Applicant who was born in Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur) before 1st of February, 1974; or
    Applicant who has been a Selangor state’s resident for more than 5 years with confirmation from either:
    > ADUN (Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri)
    > JKKK Chairman (Jawatankuasa Kemajuan dan Keselamatan Kampong)
    > Village Headman (Ketua Kampung)
    > Local Chief / Govenor (Penghulu)
Academic Requirements/Qualifications:
Study Levels Requirements/Qualification

Degree

  • Obtained either:
    – Foundation
    – Pre-University
    – Matriculation
    – Diploma
    certificate with PNGK/CGPA value of more than 2.50; or
  • Obtained at least 4 Grade C in any subjects for STPM stage; or
  • Obtained at least 5 passes (jayyid) in any subjects for STAM stage

* Subjected fields of study: All

Diploma

  • Obtained at least 5 credits in any subjects for SPM stage; or
  • Obtained a certificate qualification with PNGK/CGPA value of more than 2.50

* Subjected fields of study: All

Certificate

  • Obtained at least 5 credits in any subjects for SPM stage

* Subjected fields of study: All

Certificate

  • Obtained at least 3 credits in any subjects for SPM stage

* Subjected  fields of study: Technical & Skills only

* P/CC = Polytechnic/Community College

How to Apply (Step 1 – Step 4)

Step 1: Obtaining Application Form

Application form which costs RM3.00 can be obtained from either one of the following approaches:

First Appraoch: Counter

Pejabat Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Selangor,
Tingkat 3, Bangunan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah,

* Collect application form from respective counter/clerk.

Second Approach: Pos

  1. Prepare a 16cm x 23cm RM1.00 self-addressed stamped envelope.
  2. Provide contact number together with money order of RM3.00 in the name of Bendahari Kumpulan Wang Biasiswa Negeri Selangor.
  3. Send the envelop to the following address:

    Cawangan Biasiswa & Pinjaman Pelajaran,
    Pejabat Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Selangor,
    Tingkat 3, Bangunan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah,

Step 2: Submission of Application Form

Application form that has been filled completely must be sent to:

Pejabat Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Selangor,
Tingkat 3, Bangunan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah,

* Any applicant forms that being received after the closing date of application will not be processed.

Step 3: Application Confirmation
  • Application that does not get any responses within time period of 3 months since the closing date is considered to be failed.
  • Result of application can be checked from the Selangor state official website, www.selangor.gov.my.
