MQA Rating System for Higher Education Institutions in Malaysia 2009 (SETARA ‘09)
SETARA ’09 is a continuation exercise conducted by the MQA (Malaysian Qualifications Agency), successor of SETARA’ 07, with main purpose to measure the performance of undergraduate teaching and learning in universities and university colleges in Malaysia.
It was carried out from October 2008 to June 2010 and the rating was done by using data collected on year 2009. Among 58 universities and university colleges which were taken part in this exercise, 47 of them are rated, and were classified into a six-tier category, ranging from Tier 6 (Outstanding) to Tier 1 (Weak).

i am about to get myself registered in masterskill ipoh. and the confusion now is that the management informed me that they are reconised by the MQA but just have not got their certivicate to prove it. and now i see here that its in the unrated category..
are they reconised??
