The Star Education Fund

The STAR Education Fund acts as an umbrella body for individuals, corporations and educational institutions interested in contributing towards the education of exceptional and needy students. APIIT is one of the organisations that contribute significantly to the STAR Education Fund. Invitation for applications for the scholarships are often advertised in The Star newspaper during the first quarter of each year.

Eligibility Criteria
  1. be Malaysian citizens of not more than 25 years of age.
  2. have excelled in extra-curricular activities & active in sports.
  3. not be bonded to or in receipt of any financial aid or awards from other educational institutions or organizations.
  4. for Foundation / Diploma courses, applicants must possess reasonably good results in the SPM / UEC or equivalent.
  5. for the Higher and Advanced Diploma / Degree courses, applicants must possess reasonably good results in the STPM / A-Level / UEC or equivalent.

theSun-MAPCU Higher Education Scholarship Fund

The theSun-MAPCU Higher Education Scholarship Fund is a joint project of  theSun and the Malaysian Association of Private Colleges and Universities (MAPCU), awarding RM3.7 million worth of scholarship. It is aimed at financially deserving students with a satisfactory academic record, providing them with the opportunity to access quality private education.

Eligibility Criteria
  1. Applicants must be Malaysian citizens.
  2. Applicants must posses good academic results in SPM / ’O’ Level, UEC and / or STPM / ’A’ Level examinations or equivalent.
  3. Applicants must qualify to gain admission to the participating institution for the relevant course.
  4. Applicants must be active in sports and/or co-curricular activities.
  5. Applicants must possess leadership qualities and be self-motivated.
  6. Applicants must be financially deserving.
  7. Applicants must not already be in receipt of any scholarships, financial aid or award from other educational institutions or organizations.
  8. Applicants must abide by the terms and conditions of theSun-MAPCU Higher Education Scholarship Fund.
  9. Applicants must abide by other terms and conditions of the awarding institution, including any bond required.

KUOK Foundation Berhad Undergraduates Awards

Proudly presented by the KUOK FOUNDATION BERHAD, a non-profit charitable institution, is to introduce this undergraduate scholarship which namely the KUOK Foundation Berhad Undergraduates Awards. Welcoming Malaysian citizens who are applying for or currently pursuing full time first degree courses at Malaysian Public Universities and Singapore Public Universities to grab this chance while it is not too late.

Eligibility Criteria
  1. Only Malaysian citizens are eligible to apply.
  2. Applicants should possess good academic qualifications and should be active in school.
  3. Kuok Foundation Undergraduate Awards are for needy students only.
  4. Only undergraduates / prospective undergraduates reading for full-time first degree courses are eligible to apply. Those pursuing Diploma, Foundation, off-campus courses, etc. are not eligible to apply.

Sin Chew Daily Education Fund

Organized by Sin Chew Daily, the education fund it set up provides financial assistance to deserving and needy students in Malaysia. This fund is open to all Malaysians. Especially for those who wishes to pursue their education in tertiary institution, either locally or in other countries. The establishment of this education fund fully reflects that Sin Chew Daily is concerning about humanism, as well as to assist other parties in realizing a higher standard of eduction in Malaysia.

Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA) Scholarships
